Our Story
About Citra MMJ
Citra MMJ is the internet's most comprehensive, community-driven knowledge base for the Citra MMJ Android emulator — helping millions of players configure, optimise, and enjoy the full Nintendo 3DS library on their phones and tablets.
Our Mission
Empowering Every Android Gamer
Our mission is simple: eliminate the guesswork from 3DS emulation on Android. We test every major Citra MMJ release on real hardware, document reproducible settings profiles, and publish clear, jargon-free guides so that whether you own a flagship Snapdragon device or a modest MediaTek phone, you can get the best possible performance from Citra MMJ.
Our Story
Born from the Emulation Community
Citra MMJ was born when dedicated members of the Android emulation scene noticed that the original Citra Android port left significant performance on the table. The "MMJ" build introduced Vulkan rendering, async shader compilation, and per-game CPU tuning that unlocked stable 60 FPS on chipsets that previously struggled to hit 30. This site was created to document those discoveries, share optimised settings, and give every Android gamer access to the same knowledge that power users had been sharing in private Discord servers for years.
What We Do
Testing, Documenting & Sharing
Real-Hardware Testing
Every guide is validated on physical Android devices — from budget Helio G85 phones to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagships — so our recommendations reflect actual player conditions, not theoretical benchmarks.
Transparent Methodology
We publish our full testing methodology, chipset list, and APK version for every benchmark. You can reproduce every result we report, or challenge our findings with your own data.
Continuous Updates
The Citra MMJ emulator evolves with every release. Our editorial team tracks the official GitHub changelog and updates guides within 48 hours of significant new builds landing.
Community-First
Reader feedback directly shapes our content. If a guide doesn't work for your device, tell us — we'll investigate, update the article, and credit your contribution.
Legal & Ethical
We only cover legally-owned ROM usage and link exclusively to the official Citra MMJ GitHub releases. We never host or distribute ROM files and always credit the original Citra and MMJ contributors.
Global Reach
Our content is available in 15+ languages, making Citra MMJ performance knowledge accessible to players from Brazil to Japan, India to Germany — no language barrier to great emulation.

Common Questions
About Us — FAQ
Is Citra MMJ legal to use?
Yes. Citra MMJ is an open-source emulator released under the MIT licence. Emulators themselves are legal in most jurisdictions. The legality of the games you play depends on how you obtained them — you must own a legitimate physical copy to dump a ROM legally in most countries.
Is this the official Citra MMJ website?
This site is an independent, community-run knowledge base dedicated to Citra MMJ. We are not the official developers. All APK download links point directly to the official Citra MMJ GitHub releases page — we never host or modify APK files ourselves.
How often are guides updated?
We review and update guides within 48 hours of major Citra MMJ releases. Smaller updates and reader-reported corrections are processed on a rolling basis throughout the week.
What devices do you test on?
Our testing covers a representative cross-section of popular Android chipsets: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1/2/3, Snapdragon 778G, Dimensity 9200, Helio G99, and Helio G85. Results for other chips are inferred from architecture similarity and reader reports.
Can I contribute to the site?
Absolutely. We welcome reader contributions including compatibility reports, settings profiles, and bug findings. Reach us through the Contact page and we will review your submission for inclusion with full credit.
